Christian Siriano for Victoria's Secret!

Women's Wear Daily reports that Victoria's Secret's Very Sexy cosmetics line is being renamed VS Makeup and they've partnered with Christian Siriano! (This is turning out to be quite the news week for Christian!)

The collection includes five shades of eye shadow ($14 ea.), black eyeliner ($12), three lip gloss shades ($14 ea.), a bronzer-highlighter trio ($24), a face brush ($32) and a ruffled cosmetics bag ($16). Siriano’s items will be packaged in gold compacts with the Christian Siriano for VS Makeup logo engraved on top and will be available this fall. *UPDATE - It's here!

In other C.S. news, WWD also reports that Saks Fifth Avenue has picked up his Fall '09 clothing line, RTW! The press release describes the collection as "[taking] its inspiration from the natural beauty of the Egyptian landscape. The golden tones of the desert and the pyramids are brought to life in the form of sculptural, but feminine sportswear. Sophisticated with a touch of drama, silhouettes featuring rich teal and turquoise recall the waters of the Nile." The shoes and handbags he designed for Payless are meant to compliment the clothing.

As if all that wasn't enough, Christian also has a Spring maternity line for Nordstrom's in the works called Fierce Mamas, an extension of the West Coast-based Moody Mamas. Some of the pieces are already available here.

What do you think of all this "fierceness"??

Christian Siriano for Payless!

You heard it here first! (Actually, you probably heard it here about tenth or eleventh...) Project Runway Season 4 winner, Christian Siriano, will be launching a line of shoes & handbags at Payless in September! Tim Gunn dubbed him "his generation's Marc Jacobs" and he is my favorite winner of PR! I love his sense of style & the color palettes he chooses. Plus, he's so adorably sassy, I just wanna put him in my pocket!

The range is full of leather-like materials in chocolate browns, black and aqua shades with accents of bronze and silver hardware. The cone-shaped heels are a bit crazy, but they're not supposed to be your everyday pumps. I am in love with ALL of them, except for the booties. I'm just not a "booty person." The satin teal pumps are the most wearable pair in my opinion as well as the brown chained heels on the top right, even though they're a little bondage-y. The shoes in the picture below are hard to make out, but I'm loving the ankle strap pumps too! The collection will also include some practical flats and handbags and is priced from $25-$45.

*They're sure to sell out fast so keep checking back for the official launch date! For even more info, click here.

"We’re going to a party. It’s a birthday party...

...It’s your birthday party. Happy Birthday, Darling!" - Bright Eyes

On August 2nd I will officially be a quarter of a century old. This is a milestone in my eyes and I want to celebrate it as such. August 1st is a Saturday, so I figured I would have a party on the night before and then on Sunday Jason and I are going to take Nikki to Disney World.

My original idea for festivities was to rent a room at this really cool karaoke bar in town and have everyone come dressed in costumes for a "Born In The 80s" theme party. The venue delivers drinks straight to your room and you only have to embarrass yourself in front of your friends, so I figured it would be a good time for all.

Jason and I have a very small group of friends however, so I'm thinking maybe I should come up with alternative plans. Bowling is always silly and fun, but an intimate dinner at a restaurant where we'd have to dress up could be nice too. Then I was thinking since we're going to Disney on my actual birthday, we could go up the night before and party in Orlando. There's plenty of fun things to do, but I doubt everyone will want to drive the 2 hours it takes to get there.

I'm enlisting your help, my fabulous followers! Please vote in the sidebar poll on what you think is the best plan. Thanks girls!

A Dress A Day With... Missguided.co.uk!

Thanks to a fellow blogger La Petite Fashionista, I have disovered the British clothing range, Missguided. (Why do all things awesome have to be in the UK??) The store offers everything from crazy printed leggings to sequined blazers, with loads of adorable dresses, tops and skirts in between. It reminds me of a more chic Forever 21.

The prices are very reasonable and they ship to the states! Only problem is, the exchange rate* is NOT in our favor at the moment and they only go up to a US size 12. Jason and I are taking our honeymoon in London next year, so hopefully I'll have dropped a few sizes by then and the exchange rate will tip in my favor! ::crosses fingers::

I compiled a week's worth of their cutest dresses for your viewing pleasure.

*For example, a £10 tank top would cost you $16.38 and the £15.95 shipping rate is $26.13.

My Lust List: Shoes

I am a life-long shoe lover, collector and admirer. In my opinion, shoes can make or break an outfit and unlike clothing, shoes [usually] never let you down in the dressing room. Here's some footwear I've been admiring lately:

TRUFLE by Steve Madden. These also come in a gorgeous mustard color, but the black seems more wearable.

QUINNE by Steve Madden. I've been wanting a pair of wedges for a while now and these babies might just be the perfect pair.

Britney boots from Torrid. Ricki Lake has been rocking some fierce tunic dress & knee-high boot combos on this season of Charm School and I just LOVE that look!

Aunika boots from Torrid. I think these would be so chic over skinny jeans, even if that trend is getting pretty old.

Ok, so these are totally un-girly, but I love the classic look of Converse sneakers. These are the slip-on kind, so there no annoying laces to mess with. The black-on-black is a bit intense, but I kinda like 'em!

I found out about the most amazing website today! It's called Hautelook and it's basically a deal-finding website that holds 72 hour sales from the best brands! Their motto is "Friends Don't Let Friends Pay Retail," so I'm sharing the site with my fellow bargain-loving ladies!

Right now they're offering 7 different sales, but the best of all is definitely STILA. They're having a 50% blowout on some of their best products! Including their 24K lip glosses and Barbie paint cans! Items only remain in your shopping cart for 15 minutes, so you have to shop fast, but it's totally worth it!

How To: Day to Night

Taking a look from day to night is as easy as 1-2-3!

In the summer, an uncomplicated sun dress looks super cute with a pair of flip flops and a beach tote, but what if you have a dinner date after your day shopping with friends? Just bring along a pair of dressy wedges, a black clutch and a piece of statement jewelry and take your style from simple to stunning!

For makeup, I would go with a neutral look in the day, adding a dark crease color and another coat of mascara for the eyes, a little blush/highlighter for the face and a lipstick to perk up your pout for the night.

American Eagle Cross-Back Dress $24.95 (ae.com)
Laurel's Starfish Earrings $29.95 (fantasyjewelrybox.com)
Fox One Shady Tote $29.50 (pacsun.com)
American Eagle Rubber Flip Flops $6.95 (ae.com)
Silver Studded Disc Earrings 6 GBP (missselfridge.com)
Flap Clutch $48 (yesstyle.com)
Stud Shield Wedges $24.50 (wetseal.com)

LUSH Coupon Code

I'm not sure if many of you use LUSH products, but I thought I'd share a coupon code for a FREE sugar scrub with purchase of a large Ocean Salt cleanser or large Buffy body butter. Just use "LLFREESCRUB" at checkout.

If you're not familiar with LUSH products, they are an environmentally conscious company that specializes in using fresh ingredients to create their handmade (and albeit overpriced) soaps, lotions and scrubs.

*Coupon expires August 4, 2009.

Paper Heart

I've never fallen in love with a movie before seeing it until this very moment.

The jury is still out on whether or not this was scripted. They are (or at least were) a legitimate romantic couple, so if this is honestly how they met and fell in love, I'm in awe. Either way, it looks amazing! Your thoughts??

Travel In Style: Luggage

Later this month I am being forced against my will to take a 4 day trip to the backwoods of Tennessee. My dad lives there and while I love visiting him on my own terms, this time around Nikki and I will be going without Jason and with my mother. Let me preface this by saying that I love my mom (she did give me life afterall), but the sound of her voice tends to make me physically sick. I literally get nauseous when I hear her talk for too long. My parents have been divorced for 15 years and are suddenly back in each other's lives, so they're trying to make up for lost "family time."

Anyways, I'm pretty angry about being given the ultimatum of "come now or forever be disowned", so I'm sucking it up and going despite the fact that Jason and I haven't spent the nite apart from each other since we got together 3 years ago. And despite the fact that I know I'll have to care for Nikki on my own the entire time since neither one of them are very comfortable around small children. (How on earth did I survive??) So to make myself feel better about the trip, I treated myself to some much-needed luggage.

Behold the Prodigy Hudson 5-pc. collection from Kohls. It's regulary $179.99, but it's on sale this weekend for $64.99! Plus, if you're on their email list you get an additional 15% off any purchase thru Sunday. So I got quite the deal on this adorable set!

Style Forecast for Summer '09: Part 2

My predictions for the second half of the season.

HOT

1. Vivid pink & coral (Especially nail polish and blush!)
2. Ruffles (Girly, yet sophisticated.)
3. Layered necklaces (Think small & simple pendants.)
4. Mineral powder foundation (Liquid makeup & humidity do NOT mix!)
5. Wedges (Dress up a summer frock in seconds!)

COLD

1. Peace signs (This trend is sooo overdone!)
2. Stirrup pants (Do I even need to say anything about this one?)
3. Bright lips (Try subtle nude/pink shades instead.)
4. White jeans (White pants in general are just impractical.)
5. Thin, over-tweezed eyebrows (These are NEVER hot!)

Favorite Product Feature

Every once in a while, I buy a product that I end up loving so much I have to share it with everyone! So from now on, I'll be spotlighting such products on my blog.

First up, my e.l.f. Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder. This duo is from e.l.f.'s Studio line and is a perfect dupe (in my opinion) for NARS Orgasm & Laguna. The best part? It's only $3!!!

How I use it: I apply the contour shade with a tapered bronzer brush (also from e.l.f.) & highlight with the blusher shade using a compact blush brush (my Sigma SS109, a dupe for the MAC 109). I also concentrate a little of the blush color on the apples of my cheeks and then blend it all in with a fluffy blush brush.

$37

$3

*My camera did not do this product justice. The colors are vivid & highly pigmented. The color payoff is fantastic & you cannot beat the price tag!

How To: 4th of July Flag Cake

Kimberly and I decided to make a flag cake for a 4th of July party we went to on Saturday. It was a hit! We used Angel Food cake, Cool Whip and mixed berries to create this yummy treat. Here's how we did it:

What you need: Angel Food cake mix, Cool Whip, red & blue berries.

Follow instructions on cake mix box.

After cake cools, "frost" with Cool Whip.

Make a flag pattern using berries!

It was so simple and so, so delicious! Did you make anything fun and festive for the 4th??

FOTD: Subtle In The Summer

Featured Product: Stila Kajal Eye Liner in Sapphire

Tinted moisturizer, a little bronzer and a pretty pink lip are all you need for a carefree summer look. But why not add a little something extra? Blue eyeliner is especially complimentary for brown eyes, but anyone can wear it! I applied it my lower lash lines for a sexy, yet subtle, pop of color.
