Shameless Self-Promotion!

The Atomic Holiday Bazaar has quickly become one of the hottest annual events in Sarasota! It showcases local crafters and turns the Municipal Auditorium into a fun, fabulous and unique shopping experience! This year, I was lucky enough to be chosen for my kids clothing line SUSS PUNKS. So if you're free Sunday, Dec. 14th come out and see me! And feel free to stock up on Christmas gifts for your loved ones! :)

If I Have A Baby Girl

When I found out I was having a boy I almost jumped off of the ultrasound table and smacked the technician in the mouth. I really, really wanted a girl. I was sure it was a girl. I even bought some girl things in preparation for her arrival. But after a few weeks of feeling my baby boy swimming around in my tummy and the fact that Jason really, really wanted a boy, I grew to love the fact that my she was going to be a he. I can't imagine Nikki being a girl now that he's here (although people are constantly asking if he is one). He'll grow up playing football with his daddy, making me mud pies and when he hits adolescence, he'll give us a shitload less grief than his female counterpart ever would.

With all that said... I still do secretly want a girl. It would be so adorable to watch Nikki look after his baby sister and to see her don pink tutus and tiaras. Plus, I could have someone to go shopping with and share all of my womanly wisdom with. We do plan on having one more baby and if it is a girl, these are some things I've picked out for her (and me):

Rock & Roll Stroller

It's just about time for Nikki to switch from the infant carseat to a convertible one and while the fact that NO bulky convertible car seat can fit into my teeny, tiny VW Beetle...I am looking forward to upgrading his gear. ::shopping trip!:: Starting with a new stroller!

The Kolcraft Contours Lite Plus Stroller with music on the go is stylish, lightweight and reasonably priced! Plus, it has an iPod dock so baby can jam out while they ride! I already uploaded some Baby Einstein tracks for his listening pleasure! Anyone who knows me, knows that I am a crazy consumer review believer and all the reviews I've read about it are super positive. It's only $67.88 on Walmart.com and shipping is free if you have it sent to your local store.

My current travel combo is the Eddie Bauer Adventure System. I just HAD to have it. Little did I know, the car seat would be such a pain in the ass and I'd have to take the wheels off the stroller to fit it into my trunk! Luckily, I bought a "previously loved" Graco car seat at a yard sale, so I don't have to struggle with it anymore. I could keep the stroller, but it's a set so I'd rather just sell 'em on craigslist to some poor "style before function" sucker (oh, how naive we are when we're preggers).

Must-Have Diaper Bag!

In my never-ending quest for the perfect diaper bag, I have stumbled upon the Olivia by YakPak! I currently switch back and forth between a huge Juicy Couture jacquard tote and a small, cheap diaper/lunch bag I got at Walgreens, either having a sore shoulder or leaving the house unprepared. The Olivia is the perfect size! It has tons of pockets and extras like an insulated bottle holster, plus it has a detachable "Mommy Bag" for your keys, cell, etc. I can't believe I only just found it! They come in grey and purple birds on a wire, black and red venus fly trap and butterflies, black on black skulls and plain black prints. There's also a duffel with less frills, but I prefer the fancier one. The were exclusively sold on BuyBuyBaby.com, but it looks like they're all sold out. YakPak.com has them all in stock right now, so I'll be snatching the Venus Fly Trap print one up ASAP! They've gone up a bit in price, but I say it's worth it!
